Due to the upcoming shutdown of Ready Player Me at the end of this month, we are required to transition away from the current avatar system.

This change is not ideal, and we understand that losing fully player-created avatars is a significant loss. In order to keep MIG stable and accessible, we have implemented a new in-house avatar system as a temporary solution.

While this system does not fully replace the previous level of customization, it still allows players to adjust a limited set of visual parameters. This approach helps maintain continuity while we evaluate long-term options.

We sincerely appreciate your understanding and continued support during this transition.

New

  • Added Dark Depth adjustment for artworks, allowing finer control over shadow depth and contrast in dark-toned pieces.

Improved

  • Improved visual accuracy when displaying low-key and dark artworks under gallery lighting.

  • Minor tuning to ensure Dark Depth interacts smoothly with existing light intensity and emissive settings.

Notes

  • Dark Depth is optional and fully artist-controlled. Results may vary depending on the original artwork and lighting setup.
